Popular Nintendo Game Gets An Awesome Upgrade With A Live Soundtrack

The Nintendo 64 game Mario Kart is one of the most beloved video games of all time. Step into any playroom or college dorm and you're likely to see a crowd gathered in front of a screen racing around Rainbow Road while dodging those pesky bananas. So what could make this game even more awesome? As one man recently found out, the answer is a live soundtrack in your own living room.

The people performing the live music belong to the band Broccoli Samurai, an independent group from Ohio who describes their music as "jamtronica." The band's live performance sounded so similar to the original game soundtrack that it could have made Bowser himself crack a smile. Judging by the success of their live Mario Kart performance, they just might have found the perfect genre.
