After Watching This Funny Ad, You'll Want To Go Out And Get Yourself A "Pre-Owned" Cat

The work of humane societies is not easy: the organizations have to keep finding new ways to get the public interested in adopting the animals they house, or else deal with the horrible result of overpopulation. That is part of the reason why, especially recently, we've seen a push in new and creative methods for attracting potential adopted pet parents. Some humane societies have hired professional photographers to do a photo shoot with the animals, while others have found sillier ways to gain attention.

The Calgary Humane Society went the latter route and made a video that spoofs the stereotypical used car salesman. Phil Fulton, the society's community outreach manager, stars as an overly excited and somewhat oily "pre-owned cat" salesman, telling everyone all about the great "models and makes" they've got. It's a very funny way to help save the lives of innocent animals who are just looking for safe and loving homes.
