Prince's Toronto Home Is For Sale

Apr 29, 2016 By Hannah Austin

If you have a cool $12.79 million to burn, you'll want to pay special attention to a listing on the market in Toronto. It has everything a multi-million dollar estate should have, including a gym, tennis court, game room, and award-winning pool, but the amenities aren't what makes this home so special. It's one-of-kind because it once belonged to one of the most influential Rock and Roll artists of all time – Prince

While Prince spent many of the years leading up to his death at his Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minnesota, he always had a soft spot in his heart for Toronto. The singer moved there in 2001 with his wife, Toronto-native Manuela Testolini, but the honeymoon was short-lived. Just five years later, the couple divorced, and Prince decided to sell their home and move back to the states.

However, he never stopped visiting the city he loved. In fact, just a month before his death, Prince performed what would prove to be one his final shows at Toronto's Sony Centre. As he told the Canadian Press nearly a decade ago, “I love Toronto. It's a real melting pot in every sense of the word.” Though Prince's love affair with Testolini ended, it's clear that his admiration for the city never wavered.

Prince wasn't the last resident of this home, but one can still see trace's of the singers style and personality in the incredible property. As you'll see, it truly is a home fit for a Prince

Prince's former home is located in the ritzy Bridle Path neighborhood of Toronto. It's currently listed at $12.79 million – and that's considered a steal!

The 14,280 square-foot home sits on two acres of land, locked away from the public by a sturdy gate.

Can you imagine the dinner parties Prince must have thrown in here? The guests, the food, the outfits … it would have been a sight to behold.

Although the home has been on the market since 2014, there's been renewed interest in the listing since news broke of the singer's death.

Since there are already plans in motion to turn Paisley Park into a Graceland-style attraction for fans, this property will most likely end up as a single family home.

Which means that some lucky couple will walk this hallway every night …

… open this beautifully intricate wooden door …

… and go to sleep in Prince's old bedroom!

There is a total of six bedrooms and ten bathrooms in the home.

Each and every one of them is fantastically luxurious.

And the closet? It only makes sense that a style icon like Prince would need an entire room to store his garments. shoes, and accessories.

Much of the house has a clean and modern feel, making elegant fixtures like this chandelier stand out all the more.

The largely white color palette looks stunning with the floor to ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light – even in the bathroom! I guess when your house has a gate you don't worry too much about privacy.

Upstairs is a large loft, and while it's unclear exactly what Prince used the space for, it looks like it would be a great place to plug in and jam.

Of course, there's also a gorgeous kitchen, complete with two sinks, a double-range gas stove, marble backsplash, granite countertops …

… double electric ovens, a skylight, and an over-the-stove pot-filler. What I would give to cook in a space like this!

Can you imagine Prince watching TV in this casual family room that overlooks the pool?

Or enjoying a drink at this bar adjacent to the on-site tennis court?

What about pumping iron in this gym?

Or playing pool with a group of friends?

Even when he wanted a haircut, Prince didn't have to go far. It's hard to believe this wonderful property has been on the market for two years, but we're betting it won't be long until an eager buyer snatches it up! For more details on the property, click here
