Prisoners Help To Take Care Of These Horses As Part Of Their Rehabilitation

Jun 30, 2015 By Herbert Collier
While criminals are often put in prison for good reason, society often forgets how difficult life can be for people who truly want to reform their ways. After release, an inmate often finds themselves falling back into old habits because they are unable to get a job or develop useful skills for an honest living. While there really is no excuse for committing a crime, life after prison often doesn't exactly make it easy to stay on the right path for those that truly want to change themselves for the better.

Maryland has come up with a great program for inmates to give them skills that can be used to find employment upon release. Programs like these greatly reduce the likelihood of recidivism and help keep them on the right path.
