It’s only been fairly recently that much attention has been paid to the mental and physical price paid by our military men and women. While deaths have been reduced on all fronts through more advanced medical facilities and better technology and techniques in the hands of our soldiers, the result has been an unfortunate increase in life-altering injuries. More veterans than ever before are surviving but returning home with multiple severe injuries. Advances in prosthetics have meant an improved quality of life for many disabled servicemen, but a missing arm or leg still means a lifetime of challenges and medical bills. With the support of foundations and individuals, and initiatives like the parking spaces in this video, hopefully we can give our wounded veterans the bright futures they deserve.
