Bill Haley & His Comets was an American rock and roll band that was founded in the early 1950s. They were one of the earliest groups of musicians to bring rock and roll to the masses and had nine singles in the Top 20. Bandleader Bill Haley had previously been a country music performer and was considered one of the top cowboy yodelers in America.
