It’s a fact that is sad, but true – many young people disregard the elderly. They may think they are slow, out of touch with the times or have nothing left to offer, but either way, they often look past senior citizens as if they weren’t even there. In reality, everyone who is old was once young. Though it may have faded, they once had the same passion, dreams and drive as young people today, and hearing them talk about their lives is an invaluable treat.
Bob Wood, of Nashville, Tennessee, is a great example of why we shouldn’t treat the elderly with indifference. At 80 years old, he can shred on a guitar much better than men half his age. Can you imagine having the chance to hang out with him for the afternoon? Hearing his stories and getting some musical advice would be an incredible experience. Keep jamming, Bob! We hope to see more of you.
