The average American spends somewhere around 3-5 years of his/her life in the kitchen, and the average stay-at-home mom can rack up as much as 18 years’ worth of time making meals and cleaning up. The kitchen is usually a home's central hub, not least because it's the source of all the food! With all that time spent in the kitchen, it only makes sense that you'd want to organize it in a way that helps keep it clutter-free and lets you maximize what you can do in there.
Take it from me though, that's easier said than done. Maybe you're lucky enough to have a nice large kitchen with tons of storage space and you've already got everything in order. Good for you, you can stop reading now and have bluebirds land on your hands as you sing a song or whatever it is people like you do. If you're like me and space (especially storage) is at a premium, then get ready to have your world rocked.
This video by the VasseurBeauty YouTube channel provides five great ideas for quick, easy and fairly inexpensive DIY projects that will help you get the most out of your kitchen. For instance, keep your spices well-organized and save a ton of space by storing them in little metal canisters with some magnets attached to them. The magnets allow you to stick the spices onto your fridge, saving space and allowing you to access whichever spice you need instantly. I'm definitely giving a bunch of these ideas a go this weekend, because my spice racks, container lids and tea cabinet are all in desperate need of tidying up.
