Each summer, millions of children across America look forward to summer camp. Camp usually gives children an opportunity to connect with others and make new friends, all while learning new things and spending time outdoors. Activities like canoeing and hiking in the woods can be a life-changing experience, so many parents see the financial costs as being completely worth it.
As much as kids love the experience, parents also appreciate having a bit of time to themselves. Without school, it can be hard to keep children occupied while having a job or a household routine to maintain. Some parents even find that they have more spare time than usual with the kids out of the house. This can leave parents feeling a little guilty, especially if they were to realize that their kids weren't having fun.
