When inventors start looking at robotics, they borrow a lot of the mechanical components from real-life objects. Some robots mimic humans while others mimic animals. While inventing robots that can fly, the inventor studies the way birds fly. Birds in flight have to be able to maneuver their takeoff and landing. Taking off requires a bird to use the maximum amount of propelling force, while landing requires the bird to spill out the force. For this, birds rely heavily on the power their wings give them. The beating motion of their wings uses highly developed breast muscles. The cool thing about the Original RC Ornithopter is that it mimics the robotics of a bird in flight. Watch this video and observe the dynamics in the way it moves.
