Stuart Scott Never Lost: He Beat Cancer With How He Lived
Jan 4, 2015
He was honored at the ESPYS on July 16, 2014 and gave this acceptance speech for the The V Foundation: For Cancer Research's, Jimmy V Award for Perseverance. In his speech, Scott, as always, delivers. He talks about his recent hospital stay, his needs and most importantly, discusses his support systems.
His message transcends those afflicted with cancer to families everywhere as he describes the way in which they love one another and the strength that they give him. At the end, his daughter, Sydni, joins him on stage to show the world how even at 14, supporting a loved one is possible.
Stuart Scott, beloved American sportscaster and ESPN anchor, died Sunday morning, January 4, 2015. Stuart had an emergency appendectomy in November 2007 and during the procedure, the doctors also found a malignancy. He went into remission twice, with the cancer returning in 2010 and again in 2013.
