There's just something about Big Band and jazz music that calls for collaboration. These dancers might have their old-timey swing moves down pat, but their performance is anything but traditional. If this unique dance-off's caught your eye, just know that you can see it in person each year during the Montreal Swing Riot.
The Canadian, all-weekend event seeks to promote Lindy Hop, jazz and local street culture. Set against the backdrop of the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the Riot includes competitions, showcases and live music that seeks to bring "dancers and spectators together in shared creativity and inspiration." This particular performance was part of the "Lindy Hoppers vs. Street Dancers Invitation Battle."
