Ping pong, also known as table tennis, is a sport that is similar to tennis. Two players hit a lightweight ball to one another using a small paddle, on a hard table that is divided by a net. Since 1998, table tennis has been considered an Olympic sport. The game originally began in England, sometime during the 19th century. The early rackets that were used during the game created a sound that gave the game its original nicknames, "whiff-whaff" and "ping-pong". It was not until the 1950s that rackets were made with a rubber sheet on a paddle, which changed the game dramatically. Watch this next video to see how these ping pong balls were used in a most unusual way.
