Fortunately, there's a way to have truly awesome pizza at home. Just step away from the microwave and fire up your very own pizza oven. It's super easy to DIY.

It'll work just by putting it straight on the grill, but to really get the best possible crust, try using a pizza stone.

Some ingredients, like fresh basil, garlic and other herbs, taste especially great cooked in a pizza oven.

Once you have the pizza dough, toppings, sauce and cheese assembled, place the pizza on the pizza stone in the middle of the oven.

Pop the flowerpot down for about 20 minutes and check periodically. When the cheese gets that golden brown, you're good to go. Bon appetit!
