Pumpkin, the Shetland Sheepdog, was an "only child" in the family for seven years. So, when mom brought home her new baby boy, Pumpkin was overjoyed to have a new human brother. Shelties are known for being very loving, gentle family dogs, and this dog is no exception. Shelties tend to have a strong herding instinct, which can lead to them naturally "herding" children to keep them in a safe area. Pumpkin had been making the baby burst out in giggles for more than five minutes before mom grabbed the camera. The baby has since grown into a healthy, happy three-year-old, and Pumpkin is now more than 10 years old. They continue to have a very special bond with one another.
