This Brave Pet Cat Stands Up To A Mountain Lion In The Backyard
Jun 24, 2015
While this house cat is definitely taking a stand, some of that courage might stem from the fact that a sturdy glass door is keeping the mountain lion outside. Wild cougars, also called mountain lions, pumas or catamounts, are considered generalist predators, meaning they will eat anything they can catch. They do tend to be reclusive animals, avoiding humans especially, but will occasionally come in for a closer look. This particular mountain lion is also bucking tradition by coming out in broad daylight, as cougars are generally nocturnal or crepuscular creatures.
This cat may be small but that doesn't mean it backs down easily. When faced with a fierce feline many times his size, he shows it who's boss.
