This Choreographed Multimedia Performance Bends The Laws Of Reality

In 2011, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, crown prince of Dubai, founded the Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA) as part of his patronage of the arts. The contest is open to any photographer of any skill/experience level and, with a grand prize of $120,000 in 2015, it boasts one of the largest award amounts in photography.

This intriguing performance comes from this year's HIPA. It was choreographed by Lionel Hun, a member of the French dance company Compagnie Hybride. It features highly timed martial arts and dance choreography accompanied by mesmerizing, projected visual displays, with some knowledgeable viewers estimating the production costs being close to $100,000.
