Spithas, the adorable dachshund goes on a wild vacation with his family in Greece. The little pooch runs, digs, swims and plays up and down the coast! Dogs generally fall into three categories when it comes to swimming: those breeds who are naturals, those who can be taught, and those that should stick to dry land. Dachshunds actually fall into the last category. Generally dogs with much shorter limbs (like pugs, bulldogs, etc.) have difficulty generating enough force to keep their noses above water. Clearly Spithas is something special though, so he's able to handle dog paddling with ease. Speaking of which, the dog paddle is believed to be the oldest recorded swimming stroke and has been depicted in cave paintings founds in Egypt.
