I had to wipe away a couple of tears after hearing this touching rendition of "Mom." Hearing the voices alone, without a background of musical instruments, also makes the words more powerful. These beautiful voices belong to the men of the a cappella group Home Free, formed in 2000 in Mankato, Minnesota. Although it began strictly as a hobby, the group gained popularity and began to pursue music full-time in 2007. Although the roster has changed since their founding, brothers Chris and Adam Rupp have been around since the beginning. The group even competed in and won NBC's "The Sing-Off," a singing competition devoted to the style of a cappella, in 2013. This earned the group a recording contract with Sony, as well as a $100,000 prize.
