This Man Walks Around In Circles To Create Gorgeous Patterns In The Snow.

You might not have heard of Simon Beck before, but you’ll definitely remember his name after today. Simon is an artist best known for creating incredibly delicate and detailed patterns in the snow, using just his own two feet. Each piece requires Simon to cover several miles of distance in the snow. The most incredible part? He spends hours on every design, knowing full well that fresh snowfall or a strong wind could blow his work away the very next day.

Simon wears special shoes when walking over layers of fresh snow. Each step gets him closer to creating another mind-bending work of art.

He covers several miles easily with the number of steps required for any given design.

Miles and miles of very carful, very methodical walking.

You can’t argue with the results, though. Absolutely mesmerizing.

What makes his art even more interesting is that it could easily be gone the next day.

This set of intricate geometric patterns was made in the Savoie Valley in France, just near Mont Blanc.

He’s also created his masterpieces in the spaces between the lodges and the mountains at the Les Arcs ski resort.

His large, geometric patterns are based on delicate mathematics, and have different properties when seen from different angles.

They are also made in such a way that they will look different according to the time of day.

It’s hard to imagine the amount of time and patience required to make one of these, especially knowing that they won’t last longer than a few days at best.

But perhaps that’s what makes them even more beautiful.
