This Robot Is Making Dealing With Suspicious Vehicles Much Safer For Law Enforcement

Ever since the day that cars first hit the roads, people have been terrible at parking. So, it only makes sense that we'd eventually find a way to get technology to make it easier. The AVERT - short for "Autonomous Vehicle Emergency Recovery Tool" - was developed by European researchers as an alternative to current methods of moving vehicles, most of which still require human involvement.

While the AVERT system seems great for use in commercial parking garages, it's actually designed for law enforcement use. Its ability to autonomously move cars aside, it also features advanced navigation and scanning equipment so that it can easily find suspicious vehicles even if they're tucked away somewhere that traditional bomb-disposal bots can't access.
