Time-Lapse Video Of An Artist Drawing NYC By Hand

Jun 18, 2015 By Shannon Barbour
There is an expression when someone does something really well, it is said that "they make it look easy." The person using the expression usually means it as a sincere compliment, suggesting that the person performing the task, skill or work of art is a natural. The gifted individual is doing what they were "born" to do, someone else may say.

Clearly, these ideas don't fully acknowledge the time, effort, practice, false-starts, do overs or even regular trial and error it takes to complete high-quality work, much less achieve a masterpiece. Artist Patrick Vale has developed this kind of "looks-easy" virtuosity. The time-lapse adds to the look of ease, though he is patient and careful in producing masterful work.
