There's an old adage about skill that says, "It's the archer, not the arrow." It means that if someone is talented, the quality of their tools doesn't really matter. In other words, Serena Williams could use a frying pan instead of a tennis racquet and still win against an amateur. A great artist will always find a way for their talent to shine through, even if the materials at their disposal aren't very good. Chris Ott is one of those great artists. A trombonist by trade, Ott challenged himself to cover an iconic techno song using only a toy trumpet. Darude, the song's original artist, would be proud of the sounds he's able to produce from the cheap instrument, sounds that the manufacturers never imagined their toy would be used for.
