You may have seen or wanted a tree house as a kid, but you have never seen one quite like this. Located in Baños, Ecuador, this tree house sets itself apart from all others with its one spectacular feature: located around the back is a swing. However, this swing is not for the faint of heart, as it hangs right off the edge of a cliff that is roughly 8,350 feet above sea level. Just looking off of the edge is enough to make most people's blood pressure soar.
The view from this swing is like nothing you have ever seen.
Called "La Casa del Árbol," the structure itself is actually used as a seismic checking station.
The location of the station is situated just so that it has a great view of the Tungurahua volcano. The volcano remains active, so it is important for its activities to be constantly monitored.
Simply called the Crazy Swing, it has become a bit of a tourist attraction.
The swing hangs from a lone branch that is supposed to support your entire weight.
If you are brave enough, you can swing right off the precipice of the cliff.
For those that choose to use the swing, the view is like no other.
People young and old travel from far away to hike up the mountain to use this swing.
It has become an especially popular destination among adrenaline junkies and thrill-seekers, as they love the rush they get from death-defying activities.
