Now that winter has decided to stop toying with us and just commence with the annual gut-punching of ice and snow, parents across the East Coast have once again begun their own time-honored tradition - getting kids in and out of winter clothes.
The key to keeping kids warm in the winter is, of course, lots of layers. You're basically going for the same effect as Ralphie's little brother in "A Christmas Story."
Unfortunately, children's winter gear is not really fun for the kids to wear. If my own recollection serves as any indication, in fact, it's downright miserable. My problem as a kid was also that once I had taken the time and trouble to get into all of that gear, I really didn't feel like having to reverse that process. If left to my own devices, I would have spent the entire winter in my snow pants and rubber boots.
YouTuber Viva Frei, however, has another solution. It can be hard to keep kids still for long enough to properly remove their snow shoes. Plus, today's busy parents often have at least one hand unavailable, making it even harder. Frei however, has discovered a way to get his daughter's boots off with just one hand. It's quick, efficient, and it's clearly a process that his little girl really enjoys!
