Start by cutting out a heart, or using a heart sticker, and placing it on the Mason jar. It is important that the heart is about 4.5 in. Then, use a pair of scissors to snip the tail of your birds.

If the birds are too wide to fit inside the jar, just use your scissors to cut off more of the tail, or make the stick shorter on either end.
