Virgin Atlantic Flight Passengers Are Treated To An Impromptu Motown Performance Medley
Jun 15, 2015
The performance, which saw Branson getting up and joining in on the dancing along with some crew members, was an homage to the musical heritage of Detroit. The city is often referred to as the Motor City due to the large car factories that once operated there, and it became a musical hub for some of the most classic soul and R&B songs ever thanks to a local record label called "Motown."
As far as billionaires go, Richard Branson is definitely one of the most fun. The man behind the Virgin empire (music, telecommunications, air travel, space exploration and more) was onboard the inaugural flight of Virgin Atlantic's new direct service from London to Detroit when the cast of the Broadway show "Motown the Musical" put on a surprise song and dance medley through the aisles at 38,000 feet.
