Watch The Best Moments Of The Oscars 2015 In Just 3 Minutes

Feb 24, 2015
2015 marked the 87th anniversary of Hollywood's biggest award show: the Oscars. Technically known as the Academy Awards, the statuette was affectionately dubbed "Oscar" sometime in the '30s (legends about who coined the term are a dime a dozen around Hollywood). They are widely recognized today as the highest honor to bestow upon someone in the entertainment industry.

This year's Oscars had several key moments that were kicked off by host Neil Patrick Harris' quip regarding diversity in the industry. Another much-publicized moment was Patricia Arquette's speech on women's equality after receiving Best Supporting Actress for "Boyhood." There were also several musical guests, including an emotional performance by John Legend.
