Watch This 3000-Foot Glacier Break-Down In A Matter Of Minutes

Jan 17, 2015
In Western Greenland, an incredible, historic event occurred and two people were incredibly fortunate to have captured it. EIS Field Coordinator Adam LeWinter and Director Jeff Orlowski filmed a breakup at the Ilulissat Glacier in Western Greenland, which they entitled "Chasing Ice".

The separation lasted for 75 minutes and the glacier withdrew an entire mile across the three-mile wide calving face. The filming of this massive separation earned "Chasing Ice" over 30 awards at festivals worldwide and is still showing in theaters across the globe.
