While makeup isn’t a part of the daily routine for some people, a good portion are committed to "putting on their face.” And foundation? That's just a basic part of even the most minimal cosmetic application. That's the beauty of makeup artist Wayne Goss' solution to flawless foundation that will last all day. It's quick, easy and utilizes just three products you likely already have and use. And because it's presented by Goss, you know it's going to work; the man is a true pro and industry veteran.
Goss began the journey to his profession "both by accident and design. [He] had a love of makeup from an early age. But it wasn't until [he] was 20 and covered in acne that it became [his] full time mission to get clear flawless skin!" After years of training and traditional work experience, he started his YouTube channel in 2008 as a way to get his name out there and help people learn something that can be challenging. Now, just seven years later, the channel has nearly 2.5 million (yes, MILLION) subscribers and nearly 300 million views. Since his popularity has increased, he's even developed his own products, namely a collection of natural-hair brushes for the online beauty retailer Beautylish. The first release sold out in a mere five minutes!
Goss also credits his sex for at least some of his popularity; being a man in a primarily woman-dominated field definitely makes him stand out. People are usually surprised to find out, though, that despite his clear talent when applying makeup to his own face, Goss actually doesn't wear makeup in his real life. "I think it does surprise people," he explains. "I love putting eyeshadow on people. But I'm six feet tall. I've got a beard. It doesn't interest me. I don't want to be pretty. I'm just a bit scruffy and unkempt, and that's just sort of my style." Could have fooled us!
