Weather Man's Perfect Reaction To Map Malfunction

Jan 30, 2015
The state of Arizona is known to be usually warm and sunny, and local weather forecasters occasionally have triple-digit temperatures to report. But Cory McCloseky, of Fox 10 News in Phoenix, Arizona, wasn't expecting to report the scorching temperatures showing on his malfunctioning weather map. During a live report, the electronic map had a glitch and showed temperatures of apocalyptic proportion.

McCloskey, undaunted, hilariously reported that it was "750 degrees in Gila Bend right now and 1270 in Ahwatukee." He followed with, "Now, I'm not authorized to evacuate Ahwatukee, but this temperature seems pretty high." When the map showed Cave Creek at nearly 3,000 degrees, the meteorologist stated, "I think steel boils at about this temperature... there's probably nothing left there. So don't even bother looting."
