Jan 12, 2015
Mental disability is a battle that many people face all over the world and it comes in many shapes and sizes. In this TED talk, 16-year-old Rosie King talks about her own personal battle with autism.

After being spotted on the local news talking about illustrating her mother's children's book, Rosie, who has Asperger's Syndrome, gained international acclaim when she presented a special BBC Newsround documentary called My Autism and Me in 2011.

Rosie discussed the fact that many people try to explain autism with very finite terms and it's actually quite the opposite. She talks about all of the thoughts and interests that she has and how her autism influences her life. Her story is an interesting one at the very least and she presents some incredibly thought-provoking ideas.
