Thanks to the surge of Baby Boomers born during the post-World War II era, America is expected to see an elderly population of over 19 million people over 85 years old. As a result of the rapidly-growing number of elderly people in need of care, incidents of mistreatment have skyrocketed. Because of the heavy workload required to care for medically-dependent, elderly people, many are forced by their adult children to live in assisted living facilities until their death. Those who remain at home rely on their families for medical and emotional care. Verbal abuse can cause untold psychological damage to elderly people who depend on loved ones for help. This video reminds us all to practice patience and love for our elders.
