Facing down death can put a lot of things in perspective. It doesn’t always lead to forming record-setting hip hop dance crews comprised of senior citizens from 68 to 96. For Billie Jordan however, that’s exactly what happened.
After being injured in an earthquake, the New Zealand native took stock of her life and decided to make some changes. The first was to move to a quiet little island, called Waiheke. The next was to dive headlong into a role about which she knew nothing. Leading and choreographing an elderly team of dancers.
You can see in the video just how much these men and women enjoy getting to bust a move and how much Billie enjoys getting to be a part of it.
