By now, you've heard about Pokémon Go unless you've been living under a rock (or a Geodude as the case may be). The augmented reality mobile game has taken the world by storm and while it's doing a lot of good by convincing people to go out and explore, sometimes there's a cost to pay for that adventure.
Case in point: in San Diego, California, two young men climbed over a fence in search of some Pokémon, only to end up on some unstable cliffs that collapsed underneath them. One man was found on the beach below, while another was found knocked out about 50 feet down the cliff. According to authorities, both men were treated for moderate injuries at the local hospital.
Now, I'm an avid Pokémon Go player and I don't think there's anything inherently dangerous about the game. But in the years since cell phones have become more and more ubiquitous, we've seen people getting injured while texting, taking selfies, Snapchatting, you name it. So it only makes sense that this new and extremely popular app is getting a lot of press for being dangerous.
Remember folks! As the game warns you when you load it up, you have to stay aware of your surroundings at all times. We all wanna catch 'em all, but we have to stay alive to do that.
