For most of us, childhood was the best time of our life. It was the period in which somebody else took care of the bills, the work, and the dealing with the real hassles of life.
We, on the other hand, got to play, and our biggest gripe was that summer breaks were just too long. Wouldn't it be awesome if we could go back in time and do that again?
Sadly, we don't have a time machine for you, but we do have some really cool images that might let you do a few miles in your younger self's shoes. Which of these things reminds you most of your childhood?

3. Swimming Pools

4. The Dendy Console
Before the console wars were won, there were an awful lot of peculiar (and soon to be forgotten) consoles released during the 1990s. Anybody fancy a game on the Dendy?

8. The Commodore 64
Before there was Mac vs PC, there was a whole heck of a lot of personal computer manufacturers wooing our affections. Anyone remember the Commodore 64? It was brilliant.
9. Cardboard Caps
In every generation, there's a "cardboard cap comeback" and collectible caps go flying here, there and everywhere, and then they're forgotten about. Until next time.
10. Silly Putty
Whole days of our lives went missing when Silly Putty entered the home. There was so much fun to be had, from so very little.
11. Hide And Seek
It doesn't matter when your childhood was, you will have played hide and seek. What puzzles us is why we don't play it now. We bet it would be great fun still.
12. My Little Pony
There's something so wonderfully innocent about My Little Pony, and somehow it did it without injecting any sexism into things, unlike many other children's toys of its day.
13. Tintin Comics
Do you remember the amazing adventures of Tintin before you learned that he was a colonialist lackey promoting the destruction of indigenous cultures? He was awesome.
14. Road Map Rugs
All you had to do was lay on the floor with a bunch of toy cars. Hours of instant fun for everyone. We wonder what happened to ours?
