A Driver On The Highway Can't Believe His Eyes When He Sees How This Family Travels

The only words I have for this video are "Meanwhile, in India." While some American families struggle to find enough room in even the roomiest of minivans, people in India are using every available inch of space. Being from India myself and having spent many years there I can honestly say that a scene like this is hardly uncommon. A lot of families don't have the income to buy a full-fledged car (and traffic can be so rough that a bike is easier to zip around on anyway), so be prepared to see lots of motorcycles and Vespa-like mopeds/scooters if you go on a trip there. Even when you have a car, it's pretty common to squeeze as many people into it as possible. I recall many a fond trip to local hotspots with my cousins and other relatives, sometimes piling up to 10 people in a hatchback only slightly larger than a Volkswagen Beetle. When I was even younger, I remember my family of four riding to the market on a moped driven by my father. Of course now that I'm older and wiser, I recognize the inherent safety issues in that kind of situation, but for hundreds of millions of people throughout India, this style of travel is the norm.
