Pit bulls have gotten a really bad reputation. Thanks largely to irresponsible owners, the public opinion on pit bulls is that they're a highly violent and aggressive breed. But, in fact, pit bulls are one of the gentlest, most loving dogs out there. Back during the World War II era and earlier, they were actually known as "nanny dogs" because they could be trusted to take care of a baby.
When treated with kindness and love, pit bulls will reciprocate in abundance. One rescued pit named Bella has proven that to be the case time and again. Her owners help foster animals for a local shelter, and Bella's most recent temporary family is just too cute.
Here's Bella. Isn't she a pretty girl?
She's only got three legs, but she's got so much heart.
When her owners, who foster for a local shelter, brought home these kittens, Bella jumped right in to help take care of them.
You can tell there's a lot of love between the kittens and their new "mom."
The kittens always greet her when she comes back from her daily walk.
Bella also grooms her babies, like a good mother would.
The grooming pays off for family portraits like this one.

Although Bella will eventually have to say bye to these kittens when they find their forever homes, you can stay updated on Bella's adventures through her mom's Instagram.
