A Man Stumbled Upon This Unusual Critter In The Woods. What It Does Next Is Just Adorable
This adorable little critter is called an ermine, also known as a stoat or short-tailed weasel that has white winter fur. Ermines or stoats might be adorable animals, but they were actually named by the Invasive Species Specialist Group of the IUCN Species Survival Commission as one of the world's worst invasive species. Introduced in the 19th century in New Zealand, stoats have had a disastrous effect on the country's populations of native birds, unfortunately. The species have a circumboreal range in Asia, Europe and North America. They can be found in Canada, Alaska, Arizona, California, New Mexico, Iowa and Pennsylvania, in addition to other regions.
