A Tiger Forms An Unlikely Bond With The Goat Meant To Be His Lunch

The Primorsky Safari Park in Siberia is home to many magnificent creatures, including a great many carnivores. Part of the staff's daily duties involve feeding these animals - often live prey. It's just one of the harsher realities of nature, so most of the time staff members don't bother getting attached or even naming the various livestock animals they use for this purpose.

One of the animals the staff is responsible for feeding is a tiger named Amur, a Siberian tiger who usually gets live game twice a week.

Recently, this goat was chosen to be Amur's lunch.

When he was put into the tiger cage, however, he decided to stay his ground rather than be hunted ...

Surprisingly, Amur seemed to respect the bold move and the two struck up an unlikely friendship.

Now that they're apparently BFFs, zookeepers named the brave goat Timur. The duo spend their days just hanging out together.

Still, I'd say Timur is better off staying behind Amur, just in case he changes his mind and gets hungry one day.
