Adorable Shih Tzu Shows Off His Smarts By Sorting These Toys

All dog owners think their pups are intelligent, but this furry guy really puts his smarts on display. While border collies and retrievers are commonly ranked high in intelligence, Shih Tzu make fantastic pets in their own right. Bred as companions, Shih Tzu tend to be loyal, affectionate, outgoing and alert pups. Their friendly nature makes them excellent pets for all types of homes, such as those with other pets and small children. They also require minimal exercise, so apartment dwellers need not fear with this breed. The Shih Tzu didn't make the list when Stanley Coren published "The Intelligence of Dogs," but that doesn't make them stupid. With minor training and socialization from a young age, Shih Tzu will easily follow commands.
