As He Picks Up A Violin, She Begins To Play. I've Never Heard "Hallelujah" Like This Before

You've probably heard Leonard Cohen's timeless song "Hallelujah" thousands of times, but probably never quite like this. Acclaimed violinist Rob Landes teams up with pianist Aubry Pitcher to perform this hauntingly beautiful version of the classic. Although the piece starts with just one violin and piano, Rob uses a looping pedal to gradually add more violins and create layers of sound with elegance and grace. Leonard Cohen released "Hallelujah" in 1984, but the song had little success until Jeff Buckley recorded the most enduring version of the song in 1994. Sadly, the song did not really take off until 2002 and Buckley never lived to see the critical and commercial impact it had. "Hallelujah" is ranked among Rolling Stone magazine's "500 Greatest Songs of All Time," and has been covered in hundreds of different versions by artists around the world.
