Mitsuaki Iwago is a prominent wildlife photographer and filmmaker based out of Japan. Growing up, he was constantly surrounded by photography as his father, Tokumitsu Iwago, is also a renowned wildlife photographer. After Mitsuaki graduated from university, he assisted his father on a project in the Galápagos Islands. He has since broken out to work on his own projects and even won the Kimura Ihei Award in 1979 and has had several pieces make the cover of National Geographic. Recently, Mitsuaki has been working on a film/photography project involving stray cats he has encountered around the world. In the middle of filming one segment, a tiny stray kitten approached Mitsuaki. You won't believe what happened next.
