It’s many airline passengers’ worst nightmare. Arriving at your assigned seat to discover that you’re sharing the flight with a very small child. Assuming there are no rock stars around to serenade the baby, you’re facing a potential meltdown as the kid’s ears begin to pop, a new, uncomfortable experience they don’t know how to address. Honestly, you can’t quite blame them. Flying is not a very pleasant ordeal these days, even for adults.
Well, one young passenger surprised her seatmate with a letter and some carefully curated gifts, to let that stranger know that she’d try her best to be the nicest one-year-old airline passenger possible.
My name is Madeline. I will be 1 on December 17th and this is my first flight. I’ll try to be on my best behavior, but I’d like to apologize in advance if I lose my cool, get scared or my ears hurt. My mom and dad packed you this goodies bag with a few treats. There are also earplugs in case my first public serenade isn’t as enjoyable to you as it is my mom and dad.
Have a great flight :)
