I'm a sucker for a good piece of pie. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because it's the only time when it's socially acceptable to gorge yourself with pumpkin and cherry pie without having to feel ashamed. I'm not much of a baker, and every time I try to make a pie for myself, it usually doesn't turn out very well. If only there was a simple way to bake a scrumptious pie without leaving a huge mess and taking up all of my day.
Well, my hopes have been fulfilled thanks to Siri from the blog Siriously Delicious. She created a recipe that uses mason jar lids to make mini-cherry pies. The great thing about this sugary treat is that each pie is a perfect serving size and you won't be left with huge amounts of leftovers. Here is everything you need to make the dessert:
- 11 mason jar lids
- 1 can of the pie filling of your choice (Or make your own!)
- 1 box frozen pie crust
- 1 egg
- Raw sugar (for topping)
You'll end up with 11 pies, enough to share with your friends at work ... or just keep them all for yourself. The video below will show you the steps needed to make it. Make sure to follow the directions and let us know how it goes.
Remember to SHARE this delicious treat with your friends and family.
