Bikers Against Child Abuse Help Children Feel Safe When They're At Their Most Vulnerable
They might look scary to some, but these bikers are devoted to protecting children from abuse. Known collectively as Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA), this organization is certainly one to support. During his work with abused children, John Paul Lilly, a licensed clinical social worker, noticed big gaps in the way that these kids were kept safe and attending much-needed therapy. This inspired him to found BACA to provide physical, emotional and financial support to abuse victims. Once BACA is referred to a case, it organizes a ride by the entire chapter to meet the child and give him or her the names and numbers of the closest members. Whenever the child is scared, they are free to call their bikers, who will show up to provide support.
