Movie making is an expensive business. The franchise rights alone for Star Wars cost Disney $6 billion; that means they're going to need a lot of hits from that property just to cover the initial investment. Fortunately, it looks like they're heading in the right direction with that.
However, just because there's a lot of money in movies, it doesn't mean that every blockbuster is perfect when it gets released. Here we'd like to share with you the moments when the mega-bucks productions fell asleep at the editing stage and let a super obvious goof escape into the final product.
1. The Curse Of The Cowboy Hat
In this scene from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, there is a guy in the background wearing sunglasses and a cowboy hat.
2. The Booming Error In Twilight
Kristen Stewart's role as Bella propelled her to the top of the A-list. But in this scene in Twilight, you can still see the reflection of a boom mic in the car window.
3. The Amazing Planes Of Troy
No, that's not a spelling mistake. This is a plane flying over Brad Pitt 2,000 years before they'd invented planes in the movie Troy.
4. The Matrix Overlaps Into The Real World
Keanu Reeves' role as Neo in The Matrix will never be forgotten, but we bet he wishes he could forget the moment that the camera reflection was seen on a door knob in the movie.
5. They'll Never Take Our Baseball Caps!
Braveheart starring Mel Gibson was set a long time before baseball in a country that doesn't play baseball, so who is the chap in the baseball cap, exactly?
6. Batman Is Dyslexic
The Dark Knight Rises' crew could use a little reminder that it's not always, "i before e except after c." So not "hiest," then.
7. The Amazing Super Suit In The Avengers
Captain America's super-powers are so strong that they extend to the clothes that he wears. Which is the only semi-rational explanation for the self-repairing suit in the movie.
8. The Transfiguration Of A Dwarf
What happens to the dwarf in this scene from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey? Does Gandalf have something to do with this? It's a pretty dramatic change.
9. The Titanic And The Sleight Of Hand
It's the highest-grossing movie of all time, but when the ship sank in Titanic, bits of it kept mysteriously disappearing from the shot.
10. The Accidental Spy In Spy Kids
This scene becomes way less innocent and, in fact, extremely creepy when you see the reflection of the camera man in the mirror in the bedroom.
11. Maybe They Ate The Flowers?
The Hunger Games showed a dystopian future, but we're pretty certain that no matter how hungry anyone got, they didn't eat the flowers.
12. The Bouncing Bomb In Gladiator
Gladiator was a brilliant movie and brought Russell Crowe's career to a peak, but you can see the air tanks that are used to flip the chariots very clearly.
13. The Safe Man In Black
In Men In Black II when Tommy Lee Jones' character is dangling from the ceiling, you can clearly see the safety harness which is attached to his leg.
14. With A Wave Of His Wand A Camera Appeared
This is a scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in which one of the camera men and his camera is clearly caught on celluloid.
15. The Wild T-Shirt Of Mogadishu
Here in Black Hawk Down, the tense action drama based on a real life story, you can find a civilian hanging out in a car wearing a bright white t-shirt.
Everyone can have a bad day, even Hollywood producers. We hope you enjoyed this and that you have a wonderful day.
