Smartphones are awesome. They help us stay in contact and informed no matter where we go, but they also keep us distracted, and just because you aren't driving doesn't mean being distracted isn't a problem.
As a culture, we are becoming increasingly glued to our phones. In just about any public area you'll see countless people pecking and swiping at their screens, none of them realizing they are making themselves more vulnerable to kidnapping or assault.
