A Cincinnati Police officer recently received a request for officer assistance from the most unlikely of sources - a mother goose. As the officer was sitting in his cruiser, the goose came and started pecking and squawking at the car. He tried to feed her, but it was clear that that wasn't what she was after. After she kept walking away and coming back, the officer decided to follow.
It turns out one of this mama goose's babies was tangled up in a balloon string. When he saw the nature of the emergency, he called for backup. Animal Control was backed up and couldn't reach the scene in time, but a fellow officer responded to the call and helped rescue the gosling. It was truly one of the most incredible moments in either of their careers.
