When you buy a home, you don't really think very much about the stories it could tell you if only it could talk. If a home has been lived in before, it has borne witness to many an incredible moment in somebody else's life, but there's no way for the home to share those moments.
In this story, that's not quite the case. When Bobby and Megan Kaspidis began to renovate their home after 8 years of living there, the home revealed an incredible and touching secret of long lasting love.
If you're like us, you'll simply be amazed by this.
1. Bobby Kapsidis In The Kitchen
Bobby Kaspidis and he wife Megan knew that it was time to sort out their kitchen and that they'd been putting it off for too long. So one day Bobby got to work.
2. Cutting Into The Ceiling
Bobby's first job was to prepare the ceiling and he began to make careful cuts to try and remove the plaster work to begin adding improvements.
3. The Ceiling Comes Down
This is the moment that Bobby finally cut through the ceiling and brought the piece down to the ground. He wasn't expecting the surprise extra package which, literally, hit him in the face at this point.
4. Megan Tells Us About It
Megan told Pix 11 what had happened, “When he finally pulled away the plaster and metal grate, this purse fell down and hit him in the face."
5. It Was Full Of Photos
The purse was made out of alligator skin and had been made in Cuba. But more interestingly, it contained a wedding album that had been taken more than 50 years ago.
6. The Look Of Love
The photos provided a wonderful insight into what love looked like many years ago. There's something wonderfully innocent about the images that capture that spark of passion.
7. The Marriage Of Joseph and Marguerite Garguilo
Amazingly, not only were the photos in great condition, but the wedding invitation in the album was too. Bobby and Megan had the photos of Joseph and Marguerite Garguilo in their possession and they resolved to return them.
8. Frustrated On Facebook
This sweet reminder of Joseph and Marguerite Garguilo's love seemed to be going nowhere as nobody on the couple's Facebook accounts could help track them down.
9. Inside Edition Makes The Difference
Inside Edition was tipped off about the photos on Facebook and helped track down Joseph and Marguerite. It turned out that they had been married all their lives. Their love had staved off the tests of time.
10. Sad News
Sadly, by the time Megan and Bobby tracked them down, Joseph had passed away thanks to Parkinson's Disease, but Marguerite will now have the special memories of the day that she and Joseph chose to share their lives together thanks to the return of the photo album.
It is always good to know that love really can last and that two people can be together forever.
